The source of the Mingardo (SA)
The Mingardo is a river in the province of Salerno that comes from Cervati (in some texts it is referred to as the upstream source Plum) and flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea near Cape Palinuro. The total length is about 38 km. The countries bordering the valley of the Mingardo, in order from the source, are: Rofrano, Montano Antilia, Laurito, Alfano, cells Bulgheria and its fraction Poderia, San Severino (fraction of Centola). The European Commission has recognized the river Mingardo namesake valley and the status of Site of Community Importance (SIC code IT8050013). The site has a total extension of 16.38 km ².
